2 Ways To Make Sure Your Product Is Displayed
Getting your product into a store so it can be sold is one thing. Making sure that it's readily seen and obvious is quite another. You want to make sure that people choose your product, which can be hard if you have a lot of competitors that may overwhelm your particular brand. There are some ways that you can make sure that your product is shelved and visible.
Store Shelves
One thing you can do is just to have your product put on the regular store shelves. If you do this, you can negotiate with the store or the company as to where your product will be displayed. There are some shelving areas that are more desirable than others. Those include things like end caps, which are the shelves that are at the end of each row. For example, products inside of candy boxes are perfect for end caps, since people tend to grab them on the go. Products that are displayed on those shelves aren't shelved directly with other similar products. Since end caps are such hot locations, the products that end up on those shelves tend to change out frequently. Generally, the things that are displayed there are on some kind of special or sale. You can also talk to the store or company about shelving your product at around eye-height or just a little lower. On a stack of shelves, those that are in the middle or near eye-height tend to be the things that get bought the most.
Custom Displays
Another option is to have custom displays created just for your product. That can include things like displays of a spokesperson that can be placed near your product. It can also include having display boxes or shelves that are made out of cardboard. When the display gets to the store, the store employees will set it up and then place your product on the display. Since these displays are generally relatively small, they may need to be restocked more frequently. However, that same size means that the displays are pretty versatile. That can mean that they can be placed in center aisles at stores. That would mean that people are more likely to walk past your product even if they don't go down past the aisle it would generally be in. You can also have the display put near the cash registers which can boost impulse sales for your product.
Making sure that people can see your product to buy it is important. You want to make sure that you have the right kind of display and shelving for your product.
